Mr Gerald Chong is a Director at Infinitus Law Corporation and a seasoned lawyer specialising in the Conveyancing and Real Property Department.
Gerald graduated with a B.A. Joint Honours in Law and Management Science from the University of Keele, United Kingdom, in 1993. Subsequently, he passed the English Bar finals and was called to the Bar of England and Wales by the Honourable Society of Middle Temple’s Inn in 1994. in February 1996, he was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore.
Gerald specialises in a diverse range of legal areas, including but not limited to conveyancing matters, tenancy matters, probate & administration and Will writing. In conveyancing, he has represented prominent local and international banks in Singapore. Meanwhile, his work in tenancy matters (for both landlords and tenants) involves providing clients with legal advice and assistance, including the drafting of tenancy agreements to safeguard their interests. Beyond property-related matters, Mr Chong has also advised and acted on cases involving general insurance, motor insurance, workmen’s compensation, and life insurance; his clients have included leading insurance companies. Lastly, as an experienced lawyer in Will writing, Gerald has also delivered talks on the subject to insurance companies and licensed financial advisory firms.
Gerald is a member of the Singapore Academy of Law and the Law Society of Singapore. He has also been a voluntary lawyer with the SAFRA (Singapore Armed Forces Reservist Association) Legal Information Service since 1996 and is presently the Chairman of the Legal Information Service Committee. He has held numerous positions in SAFRA committees and for his contributions, he had been presented with awards from SAFRA (namely, Meritorious Service Award (Bronze), Commendation and 25 Years Long Service). Last but not least, Gerald served as a member of the Wellington Primary School Advisory Committee from 2012 to 2020; for his exemplary service, the Ministry of Education presented him the Pewter Award in 2018.
