Ivan Ng graduated from the University of Southampton, with a Bachelor of Laws Degree, and the National University of Singapore with a Graduate Diploma in Singapore Laws. He was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore, in 2009, and is a member of the Law Society of Singapore and the Singapore Academy of Law.

Ivan focuses on civil litigation and dispute resolution and has experience in a wide range of commercial disputes. His practice includes disputes relating to general contractual claims, shareholders disputes, breach of trust and directors’ duties, employment disputes, landlord-tenancy disputes, professional misconduct, negligence, defamation, and building and construction disputes relating to the Building Maintenance and Strata Management Act, the PSSCOC, SIA, and REDAS forms of contracts. He also advises and acts for construction parties in adjudication proceedings, pursuant to the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act, and had conducted and assisted on civil trials, at all levels of Singapore Courts, proceedings in the Strata Titles Board and the Council of Estate Agencies.

In addition, Ivan provides advice on both contentious and non-contentious matters, to developers and main contractors of industrial and commercial buildings, including the production and finalisation of multi-million construction contracts. In terms of arbitration experience, Ivan has experience in arbitrations between international parties, under the arbitration regimes of Singapore, the SIAC Rules, and arbitrations between parties in the building industry pursuant to the SIA Rules.
