Pamela Chong
Pamela Chong is a Director in the Corporate, Commercial and Technology Department. She is also a Director in and Head of the Conveyancing and Real Estate Department.

She graduated from the University of Birmingham, UK in July 1986 with an LLB (Hons.) and was admitted to the Singapore Bar in April 1987.

She commenced her legal practice in the commercial litigation department which included international trade, corporate and commercial transaction disputes and intellectual property infringement. Her current legal practice and work portfolio comprises real estate transactions as well as corporate and commercial work.

Since 1994, she has actively participated in all types of conveyancing and real estate transactions which involved residential, commercial and industrial developments and represented individual retail clients to corporations, statutory boards, and financial institutions. She has assisted and represented major developers in the purchase of land parcels, in the launch and sale of the individual units of their development projects. She has also advised management corporations in relation to matters and transactions under the Land Titles (Strata) Act. One major transaction recently completed was advising and acting for 97 subsidiary proprietors in the collective sale of their strata title units to a major developer. She has also advised and prepared agreements for institutional landlords in the lease of units in commercial buildings.

She also actively participated in corporate transactions and she has advised and assisted clients in start-up businesses, advised in structuring and financing of their investments, ventures and transactions, joint venture and shareholding agreements, as well as mergers and acquisitions. These transactions include participating in negotiations, preparation of documentation for incorporation, structuring or restructuring of companies, including shareholder structure, investment, stock option plans, joint ventures, sale and purchase of businesses, and transfer of intellectual property and know–how.

Her clients include small to medium sized businesses to statutory board companies and multi-nationals, from healthcare groups, manufacturers, technology developers, vendors, distributors and other licensors to end-users, inventors and licensees.

She has advised clients, participated in negotiations, assisted in structuring their business transactions and prepared the necessary documentation in commercial transactions. The focus is to help clients in finding commercial legal solutions to meet their business needs. The clients whom she had worked for range from small to medium sized businesses to statutory board companies and multi-nationals, from technology developers, vendors, distributors and other licensors to end-users, inventors and licensees.

She has also actively been involved in assisting and advising clients in the setting up of companies and businesses, which includes the provision of general legal advice and services to establish their presence in Singapore ; preparation of standard term contracts, employment contracts, and also provision of company secretarial advice and services, which include liaising with the relevant authorities for the incorporation of companies, preparing all necessary company resolutions, assisting in the opening of bank accounts, share subscriptions and allotments and generally keeping the corporate secretarial books of their companies

She is a Member of The Law Society of Singapore and the Singapore Academy of Law.
